Motorcycle & Scooter training schedule - 2010
Please Note: All classroom times are from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and are held at #108, 2116 - 27 Avenue N.E., Stockman Centre. All dates on this page are for the 2010 season.
ONE-WEEK MOTORCYCLE COURSES
See Schedule Here - All Classroom Sessions are on Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Rider training on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday evenings. Course 6 N/A until April 19. See the NEW Ladies only courses!
Weekend Motorcycle Courses
See Schedule Here - All Classroom Sessions are on Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Rider Training on Saturday, Sunday. Course 4A is N/A until April 5
Mid-Week Daytime Courses
See Schedule Here - All Classroom Sessions are on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Rider training on Tuesday and Wednesday.
scooter training
See Schedule Here - Riding requirements are the same as motorcycle training. The course will have 6 or more students. All Classroom Sessions are from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Please note if classroom is on a Tuesday or Thursday evening. Scooter 6 is N/A until April 19. See the new weekend schedule
private lessons
One day course available Monday, Thursday or Friday only. Students can take the Gearing Up course on a one to one ratio with an instructor. Conditional on the availability of an instructor. 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Must take a classroom course also. Contact our office to schedule.

Who is this student?
The potential students already have a license and their own motorcycle. They wish to review skills to increase confidence and competence. The content is similar to the review our instructors take every spring.
Course description
Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Motorcycle dynamics and decision-making will be discussed. Riding skills practice will emphasize control and emergency avoidance techniques. The course is entirely on lot.
Maximum of 10 students
Note: Your motorcycle must be in safe working order.

Two (2) days from 9:00 to 5:00. Riding skills practice will emphasize control, emergency avoidance techniques and group riding and leading techniques. The course is on lot and on the street. Maximum of 10 students. Note: Your motorcycle must be in safe working order.

All day Saturday and Sunday (9:00 - 5:00). Other dates based on demand.

Repeat course
$250.00 dollars (scheduled into available courses.) Student must have taken the Gearing Up course in the previous 12 months.
practice course
$150.00 dollars Friday evenings 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
For students who have taken the Gearing Up course and want more practice before taking the class 6 road test. Includes practice time and road ride. Please contact our office to book your Practice Course.

As defined by Alberta Transportation, all Class 6 testing will be conducted by a 45 minute road test only in 2010. You must complete and pass the Calgary Safety Council course test to be eligible for the FREE use of a Calgary Safety Council motorcycle or scooter to complete your class 6 road test from our location. Booking for the class 6 road test must be completed with the Registries office that schedules the licensed examiners at our lot.
You must also have your Class 6 Test Permit (written test) from a Registries office before the road test.
The following requirements must be met to take our course:

Our Cancellation Policy is that 14 days notice is required to cancel a course (which includes classroom and riding session) and to receive a full refund. With less than 14 days notice but more than 3 working days notice, students will be assessed a $50.00 fee. With less than 3 working days notice, students will be assessed a $100.00 fee. Students who fail to attend the course will forfeit the entire fee. The Calgary Safety Council retains the right to cancel or reschedule courses as required.
